St. Theresa’s Higher Secondary School was established in the year 1987 and provides instruction to its students in Arts, Commerce and Vocational Streams (Commercial Garments: Designing and Making).
Our institution is synonymous with quality education. We firmly believe that the aim of education is the knowledge not of facts but of values.
Education is not just a means for livelihood – a means to equip for a career or for a profession, it means something more and something beyond it. Education must go together with basic human values. Too much stress today is laid on developing the mind and too little, on developing a ‘warm heart’.
Education with basic human values is constructive and beneficial for the society, as it develops a sense of caring for one another, a sense of belonging to the community, a sense of respect for each other, the more compassionate you are the more healthy is your mind. True Education is that which liberates the mind from narrowness of every form.
The task of the excellent teacher is to stimulate “apparently ordinary” people to unusual effort. “The tough problem is not identifying a winner; it is in making a winner out of ordinary people.” (K.P.Cross)
With our dedicated team of teachers, we march ahead striving for excellence, preparing our students to face challenges in a world of hectic activity, of life torn within with competition and competence, equipping them with basic skills and values, necessary to lead a worthy life.
St. Theresa’s Higher Secondary with the help of our dynamic team of The Manager, Teaching and Non- Teaching Staff, The P.T.A. and our benefactors will strive always to bring out the best in our students. With the blessings of God Almighty and our Patroness St. Theresa we will spare no effort to keep the flag of St. Theresa’s Higher Secondary School flying higher and higher.
